
The governor of the Belgorod region of Russia said on Tuesday that the “anti-terrorist operation” in the region continues, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and law enforcement agencies continue to “clean up” the territory from the border with Ukraine.
“Regarding the situation in Graivoronsk district: the territory is being cleared by the forces of the Ministry of Defense together with law enforcement agencies,” Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on his Telegram channel.
“I am now appealing to the residents of the Graivoronsk district who… have temporarily left their homes, there is no way to return yet.”
Gladkov said one woman was killed and two people were injured during Monday’s evacuation, but Russian security forces were unable to reach them.
