
When Steve Reeves received a call from the police about his son, he was initially horrified until an officer reassured him by saying, “It’s for the best, his son is a hero.”
On April 26, his son Dillon of Warren, Michigan, first high school studentwas returning on the school bus when he found to say the driver lost consciousness.
“I’m feeling dizzy,” the bus driver reportedly said over the radio on the bus, “I might have to stop.” However, he did not. She lost consciousness, her hands fell off the steering wheel.
“Suddenly, the bus is out of controlone student said, while another admitted that “we were all horrified and shocked.”
The bus was already in the oncoming lane, but the 13-year-old teenager managed to grab the steering wheel in time and stop the vehicle, saving about 60 students with his quick reaction.
Dillon Reeves, a 13-year-old seventh grader at Carter High School in Warren, became a hero on his way home from school on Wednesday by jumping to stop his bus after the driver passed out.

As his family reported on the CBC show, Dillon was one of the few students who he didn’t have a cell phone to deal withwhich helped him notice in time that something was wrong with the driver.
“What else to do if you don’t have a mobile phone? You look at people, you notice things.“, says his father, who admits that he and his wife have decided to further delay buying a mobile phone for their son.
The student became a city hero, his name mentioned in eulogies to both the state governor and the senator. And the mayor gave him the key to the city of Warren.
