Erdogan: Large oil field discovered in southeast Turkey

Discovery of a major oil field in the southeast Türkiyesaid the President of the neighboring country, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The field was discovered at a depth of 2,700 meters and has the potential to produce 100,000 barrels per day, which, according to Erdogan, covers 10% of domestic needs.

The field is located on Mount Gabbar, close to Turkey’s border with Iraq, where there have been violent clashes with PKK insurgents in the past.

Speaking at Iconium, Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Türkiye bury “PKK terrorists” in Gabbar’s oil wells, according to ERT.

He added that the oil well was named after Aybuke Yalchin, a teacher who died in the PKK fire.

“For so many years we wondered how it is possible that there are rich sources of oil near Iraq, and not in Turkey,” he commented and once again accused the West of “not allowing his country to progress.”

Finally, he also accused his political rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu of promising $300 million from “London moneylenders” while he and the government exploit the country’s wealth.
