Russia and Ukraine announced another exchange of prisoners of war, during which 40 people were returned to Russia, and 44 to Ukraine. Such figures were reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Office of the President of Ukraine, respectively.
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said on his Telegram channel that among the 44 returned prisoners of war, there are 36 conscripts and non-commissioned officers, six officers and two civilians.
Among the military, Yermak writes, there are representatives of many branches of the military – border guards, sailors, National Guardsmen and defenders of Azovstal.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that following the results of negotiations, 40 Russian servicemen returned from Ukrainian captivity.
“All those released are provided with the necessary medical and psychological assistance,” the ministry said in a message on the Telegram messenger.
