Kevin Spacey appeared in court in London before the sex crimes trial

Kevin Spacey appeared in a London court via video link from an undisclosed location for a pre-trial hearing in a sex offense case against four men.

The four-week trial is expected to begin on June 28. The actor confirmed his full name and said he could hear the judge, who also appeared via video link.

The Oscar-winning actor has previously denied allegations of crimes against four men that allegedly took place between 2001 and 2013. The most serious charge was forcing a man to have sexual intercourse without his consent.

Recall that last fall, a New York court ruled that Spacey did not harass his colleague Anthony Rapp 36 years ago, which the latter accused him of. The jury rejected the claims of Anthony Rapp, who sought $40 million in damages.

This particular case came to light in late October 2017, at the beginning of the #MeToo movement, when a wave of revelations of sexual assault in the entertainment industry erupted. Other allegations against Kevin Spacey followed, as a result of which the Hollywood star was relegated to the background.

Kevin Spacey, as you know, lost the main role in the popular TV series “House of Cards” and was obliged to pay the producers $ 31 million in compensation for lost profits.
