New York: He killed her because she accidentally walked into his driveway

In the US, a man has been charged with second-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed a 20-year-old woman who drove her car into his driveway.

In particular, Caylin Gillis visited New York with her group. However, the group at some point lost their bearings and entered the entrance of Kevin Monahan’s house.

But as Kailin was leaving, the 65-year-old resident allegedly opened fire on the car, fatally wounding the 20-year-old.

“This is a very sad case when several young people looked at a friend’s house and ended up in the house of this man who decided to go out with a gun and shoot,” Washington County Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy said at a press conference.

Friends moved away from the house and tried to call for help, but the 20-year-old was already dead.

On the other hand, the police statement said that “the 65-year-old man refused to cooperate with the investigation and refused to leave his house to speak with the police.”

A man shot and killed an African-American teenager who accidentally knocked on the door of his house

Meanwhile, another similar incident occurred in Missouri, where an elderly white man was charged on Monday with fatally injuring an African-American teenager who knocked on his door without realizing he was in the wrong place, a local prosecutor said.

Andrew Lester, 85, is charged with two felonies, one of which carries a life sentence, Clay County District Attorney Zachary Thompson said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of protesters demanded justice for 16-year-old Ralph Paul Earle, who was hit in the head and arm by Lester bullets and is in critical condition, said Ben Crump, a prominent lawyer who defends African-American victims of violence.

The teenager’s parents asked him to pick up their 13-year-old twin brothers from their home in Kansas City. Ralph got the wrong address and went into the wrong house. According to his aunt Faith Spoonmoor, the homeowner shot the teen through the front door.

She described Ralph Paul Earl as a smart and sweet kid who wants to be a chemical engineer.

This case caused shock and outrage in the US, and many celebrities expressed their grief over the incident.

“My heart broke when I found out” about the incident involving “a 16-year-old boy who accidentally knocked on the door of the wrong house,” actress Halle Berry tweeted, urging the district attorney to act.

Protesters gathered Sunday outside the home where the teen was shot and demanded that the gunman be charged with racial slurs, local Kansas City radio station KCUR reported.

Police confirmed they answered the call shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday night, stating that Earl was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

“The information currently available does not indicate that this action was racist in nature, the investigation is ongoing. But as chief of police, I recognize the racist nature of this case,” Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said Sunday.

US President Joe Biden spoke to the teenager on the phone yesterday, Monday, and “expressed hope for a speedy recovery,” the White House said.

Bloody shooting incidents are common in the US, a country of about 330 million people and about 400 million firearms.

The jarl was shot and killed hours before four people were killed and at least 28 others were injured, mostly teenagers, in another Saturday night birthday shooting incident in Alabama.

Also in New York state, authorities announced yesterday that a 20-year-old woman was shot dead in her car when she got confused and pulled into the parking lot of the wrong house.

The 65-year-old homeowner was arrested and charged.
