In the US, a man has been charged with second-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed a 20-year-old woman who drove her car into his driveway.

Meanwhile, hundreds of protesters demanded justice for 16-year-old Ralph Paul Earle, who was hit in the head and arm by Lester bullets and is in critical condition, said Ben Crump, a prominent lawyer who defends African-American victims of violence.

“The information currently available does not indicate that this action was racist in nature, the investigation is ongoing. But as chief of police, I recognize the racist nature of this case,” Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said Sunday.

US President Joe Biden spoke to the teenager on the phone yesterday, Monday, and “expressed hope for a speedy recovery,” the White House said.

Bloody shooting incidents are common in the US, a country of about 330 million people and about 400 million firearms.
