According to Ukrainian and Russian media, three leaders of the EU member states are in Kiev today in the context of not only moral, but also material support for Ukraine from countries that survived “real socialism” and Soviet control in the 20th century.
According to local media, the leaders of Slovakia Eduard Heger, Slovenian Robert Golob and Croatian Andrey Plenkovich moved to the Ukrainian capital.
As the Slovenian Cabinet of Ministers noted on Twitter, the Slovenian authorities want to “demonstrate political support in light of Slovenia’s comprehensive assistance to Ukraine.”
Earlier, the Slovak news agency TASR reported that the Prime Minister of Slovakia arrived in Ukraine to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, he added that Mr. Heger was accompanied by Acting Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy and that the place and time of the politicians’ meeting were not disclosed due to security concerns.
Simultaneously with the completion of the 400-day heroic defense of Ukrainians from Russian aggression, the ambassadors of all 27 EU countries went to Ukraine.
🇪🇺 stands strong with 🇺🇦. For the first time after the invasion and ruin of Russia 400 days ago, the ambassadors of all 27 🇪🇺 member states were in Ukraine. We are here to help her fight for freedom.
