At least 16 civilians have been killed and 59 others injured in Russian bombings targeting eight regions of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military said Saturday, CNN reported.
In total, “119 settlements were shelled with various weapons, including mortars, tanks, artillery, rocket launchers, S-300 anti-aircraft systems, drones (Lancet type) and cruise missiles (Onyx type),” he accuses of the press release, Ukrainian army, quoted by News.ro.
This is the latest wave in a series of Russian attacks in recent days.
On Wednesday, as Chinese President Xi Jinping returned from a state visit to Russia where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia heavily bombed villages and towns across Ukraine, killing at least nine people.
“We are especially angry. We are not afraid. Why would we? This is our home,” a student from Zaporozhye told CNN after the attacks.
