
This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Russian Su-35 fighter rose above the Baltic Sea today, after two American strategic bombers they flew towards the Russian border, but then left.
“On March 20, the radars of the air defense forces of the Western Military District on duty over the Baltic Sea detected two air targets flying in the direction of the state border of the Russian Federation,” the agency said in Telegram.
According to the statement, the targets were US Air Force B52H strategic bombers.
According to the report, the Su-35 fighter took off to prevent violation of the border and added that “after the departure of the foreign military aircraft from the state border of the Russian Federation, the Russian fighter returned to its base.”
