But he showed footage of the Capitol invasion as a “peaceful mayhem,” angering even Republicans.

Witness statements in a civil trial against an online gambling company that claims to have been defamed by the Fox network have revealed multiple communications between Carlson and Fox executives about Trump and his actions on January 6, 2021.

On January 4, two days before the Biden election was ratified, Carlson wrote in a message: “We have two days left before ignoring Trump. I don’t hold back. All he can do is destroy. He is the undisputed champion of destruction. It could easily destroy us if we play our cards wrong.”
