Mexican and US authorities are working together to track down four Americans who were attacked by militants in the north. Mexico and were abducted shortly after crossing the border between the two countries.

Four Americans, whose identities have not been released, were riding in a white minivan with North Carolina license plates as they passed through Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico last Friday, the US embassy said, asking citizens for help identifying the kidnappers.
