President of the U.S.A Joe Biden in February, he underwent minor dermatological surgery to remove a mole that, according to a biopsy, turned out to be cancerous.
According to White House physician Kevin O’Connor, the biopsy confirmed it was a basal cell carcinoma, which was completely removed on February 16.
The 80-year-old president will be seen by a dermatologist, but this type of cancer usually doesn’t metastasize or spread. The wound at the biopsy site has already healed and “no further treatment is required,” the doctor added.
Last month, Biden underwent a routine medical examination, and doctors declared him healthy and fit for duty.
