President of the European Commission Today Ursula von der Leyen will meet King Charles III during her visit to the UK to finalize preparations for Northern Ireland as part of Brexit.

The commission’s president will hold talks with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and “will also meet with His Majesty the King this afternoon,” spokeswoman Ursula von der Leyen said.

In London, a spokesman for Buckingham said “the King is happy to meet any international leader who visits the UK, and in the opinion of the government he should”.
