Ukraine’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, accuses the Russians of kidnapping children from his country to incite sex trafficking. Russian troops allegedly abducted and took thousands of children, including orphans, to territories controlled by Moscow, AFP reports.
“Accounts (in the Telegram application) show that Russians are kidnapping Ukrainian children and making sexual videos with them,” Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets said on Thursday.
“For example, they offer a Ukrainian boy for 250,000 rubles (over 3,200 euros),” he added, clarifying that he is an orphan.
Dmytro Lubinets published in Telegram a fragment of correspondence from an Internet forum, which he does not name. The dialogue takes place between two people who are discussing the boy’s participation in the creation of a child pornography film. “He is from Ukraine, from an orphanage, he has no parents,” wrote one of the people.
“For this type of work, we involve young children. This is not the first one we bring,” the man added.
Dmytro Lubinets did not specify how he got the fragment of the conversation, but asked the police and Ukrainian justice to take “adequate measures to find and punish the guilty.”
“The Russian Federation sneakily kidnaps, kills, deports and rapes our children,” he added.
Crimes against children, including sexual violence, are quite common in Russia. Ukraine accuses Russian troops of abducting and transporting thousands of children, including orphans, to territories controlled by Moscow. Last September, UN investigators accused Moscow of war crimes “on a large scale” in Ukraine, including torture and sexual violence (source news.ro).
