Almost 10,000 acts of violence in the 2021-2022 school year: top countries
In the 2021-2022 academic year, of the total number of 9,741 acts of violence, 69% (6,744 cases) are acts of violence from the “Attack on a person” category, 14% (1,326 cases) from the “Attack on property” category, 13% (1,289 cases) – the category “Other acts of violence or attacks on security” and 4% (382 cases) – the category “Attack on the security of a school unit”, according to the data of this report.
According to data provided by the district school inspectorates, the counties with the highest number of acts of violence in the 2021 2022 school year are, in descending order, Brasov (1,555), Cluj (746), Dambovitsa (678), Ilfov (539), Bucharest (522) , and the countries with the least number of acts of violence are Karash Severin (27), Mehedyntsi (23) and Kovasna (20).
The number of acts of violence in schools is increasing compared to previous years
According to the results of the analysis of centralized data in the 2021-2022 academic year, compared to the previous academic years (2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021), the somewhat increasing evolution of acts of violence in the the school environment is indicated, it can be seen in the answer.
