The one definitely not going to Ukraine this week is European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans, who is going to stay in Brussels to ensure institutional continuity when everyone else is away, Politico reports. It is noted, of course, that Timmermans visited Kyiv on January 9th.
For agenda Euro-Ukrainian meetings to be held in Kyiv in the coming days are expected to cover such issues as: the prospect of Ukraine’s accession to the EU, the possibility of new EU sanctions against Russia, financial assistance to Ukraine, etc.
