Ukraine: “Living hell” Bahamut – paratroopers replace Wagner fighters

Constant fighting in the city and its environs Bahamut east Ukrainian created an environment that can be described as “a living hell”.

Speaking on Ukrainian television on Monday, the Ukrainian commander Vladimir Nazarenko stated that Russian forces were trying to take control of the highway Konstantinovka – Bakhmut.

“Here and for five or six months near Bahamut, everything is a living hell. The enemy is constantly attacking. And we can observe more how the weather changes, which, by the way, has a great impact on the combat capability, morale and living conditions of each serviceman,” said the deputy battalion commander.Liberty» 4th Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.

He noted that he could not say for sure whether the Russian troops launched a full-scale attack and whether their tactics had changed, but it turned out that the Wagner fighters had now been replaced by Russian paratroopers.

Nazarenko went on to say that the Ukrainian fighters are “doing an incredible job” and are “real heroes”.

“The enemy is trying to capture the highway. He doesn’t make it. Our fighters are doing their best: the Armed Forces and the National Guard are doing an incredible job, they are real heroes. And the enemy suffers huge losses,” he added.

“We see that Wagner’s forces are almost completely destroyed. Now they have been replaced by paratroopers, who also suffer losses almost every day not only in human resources, but also in armored vehicles,” he stressed.
