Taylor Lorenz explained that she asked Elon Musk a question via twitter about an article she was writing because she couldn’t reach him through other channels.
“My colleague Drew Harwell, whose account has also been suspended, and I are working on an article about Musk and were hoping to get some feedback from him. We have tried several times to contact him by email over the past few days,” the journalist said.
“At 20:30 (04:30 Greek time) I tried to contact him on Twitter to get a comment,” she says, posting a screenshot of her post in which she asks to speak to him to discuss the subject he is over works.
“When I went (on Twitter) to see if he had answered our question, my account was suspended. I have not received any information from the company about the reasons for the suspension of the account or the terms I violated, ”added Taylor Lorenz.
Elon Musk last week suspended the Twitter accounts of several journalists whom he accused of endangering his family. These accounts were restored and operational on Saturday, but some have reported that they have been ordered to delete certain posts if they want to take full advantage of the platform.
Musk has drawn the ire of the European Union and the UN by blocking the accounts of journalists from CNN, the New York Times and the Washington Post in particular, and the Vice President of the European Commission even threatened him with sanctions.
