President Vladimir Putin addressed the commanders of his armed forces with a proposal on how, in his opinion, Russia’s military operation in Ukraine should proceed, Russian news agencies reported, cited by Reuters.
Putin listened to their opinion on Friday during a visit to the headquarters of the Joint Operational Group of Russia on combat operations in Ukraine, TASS and Interfax report.
“We will listen to the commanders of each operational direction, and I would like to hear your proposals for our immediate and mid-term actions,” Putin said, TASS quoted.
Putin spent the entire day of Friday at the headquarters, his spokesman Dmytro Peskov told Interfax.
In a video released by the Kremlin, Putin presided over a meeting with about a dozen people at a round table, flanked by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Army Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov.
Putin was then videotaped at another negotiating table at the joint task force headquarters, soliciting suggestions from several military commanders.
It is reported that yesterday President Putin visited the headquarters of the United Forces of the Russian Federation, which included Shoigu, Gerasimov and Surovikin. He said he would listen to commanders in each operational direction. https://t.co/rhTmTUTkt5https://t.co/HUsM9Pvoka pic.twitter.com/k9pBzBqXFB
