Thanks to the Games, we will transform our city in depth, like a ring road that will become a green belt:

Those who drive their car to work every morning know this. traffic jams is a real scourge. If this is especially true of Ile-de-France, no region is spared, especially in the big cities. And if the government wants motorists to stop taking their cars, it doesn’t really do anything for telecommuting to ease congestion. According to numerous studies, these deals will result in the country losing billions of euros per year. This is one of the reasons why the government wants to encourage car sharing among motorists. Although a €100 compensation will be introduced next year, some cities want to go further.

Get paid for your trip
This is especially true the metropolis of Lille. A major northern city wants to reduce congestion on its roads and wants to encourage motorists to change their habits. To do this, the agglomeration will soon launch a large-scale experiment that should make many drivers want to practice car sharing. The principle is simple: if you drive alone in your car during rush hour, you will have to pay the normal price. On the other hand, if there are at least two of you, your passes will be charged up to €2 per trip. Of course, this will be limited to 80 euros per month. After that, you will need to register in the application and declare your trips made in car sharing mode.
.
The first experiment
This experiment will begin with spring of 2023, with 5,000 volunteer motorists. The measure will also affect those who do not carpool but choose to shift their trips to off-peak hours. This should make it possible to reduce morning traffic by about 750 cars out of the 12,000 that drive every day in Megapolis. If this project is promising on paper, then its cost is currently estimated at more than 9 million euros…
Carpooling is just common sense. Car sharing means – traffic jams, – CO2, – NOx, – paid petrol and more camaraderie. We are proud that MRN is again, for the third month in a row, the French champion of car sharing. We do not give up! https://t.co/2eG356ZkK7 pic.twitter.com/2FgdMXaHdL
