American journalist Grant Wall, who covered Friday’s World Cup quarter-final match between the Netherlands and Argentina in Qatar, died of an aortic aneurysm, his relatives said.
The autopsy put an end to the rumors that followed the journalist’s death. Posts on social media suggested that his death was either related to Covid vaccines or “retaliation” from the Qatari government as he wrote an article about the deaths of migrants in the emirate.
However, none of the above is true.
“He probably died instantly and did not feel pain,” said the journalist’s wife, a leading infectious disease specialist in America, in turn refuting versions linking death to the Covid vaccine.
