The speech of the President of the European Parliament was emotionally charged, Robert Metzolain the shadow of a corruption scandal.

The European Parliament is under attack. European democracy is under threat. The open, free, democratic character of our societies is under threat.

The enemies of democracy, threatened by the very existence of this parliament, will stop at nothing.

These malevolent actors associated with authoritarian third countries have allegedly used NGOs, trade unions, individuals, aides and members of the European Parliament in an attempt to undermine our processes.
