
More than 150 people were injured today Wednesday in Barcelona when two trains they faced at Montcada i Reixac station.

In a social media post, authorities said the passengers were not seriously injured. Three people in a mild condition were taken to different medical centers.

The accident happened this morning when one train collided with another from behind as it passed through the station. The cause of the collision is still being investigated.

“We were waiting for the train and heard a roar. The stopped train drove two meters and stopped. Many people fell because the train was full,” the witness explained to the local radio station.

It is noted that due to the collision, the movement of trains was interrupted in three directions.
Sources at the Spanish railway company Renfe say the circumstances under which the accident occurred are not yet known.
