
The former pro-Russian president from Chisinau, recently released from house arrest and charged with, among other things, treason, on Monday condemned Russian bombings in Ukraine and thanked Romania for its aid, but hours later he retracted and changed his testimony to Publika.md.
After the statements made in an interview with Publika.md, Dodon returned with new statements to journalists in Chisinau, saying that he does not condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, as it is a problem between Russia and Ukraine.
“If Russia attacks Transnistria, I will condemn it. If Ukraine attacks Transnistria, I will condemn it. If Romania attacks the Republic of Moldova, I will condemn,” explained Dodon.
