He stressed that the EU will provide 200 medium transformers and one large autotransformer from Lithuania, one medium autotransformer from Latvia and 40 heavy generators from the EU reserve.

He added that each of these generators “can provide uninterrupted power to a small and medium-sized hospital.”

He expressed the EU’s “full solidarity” with the Ukrainian people, who are suffering from the “deliberate and barbaric bombardment” of the country’s infrastructure by Vladimir Putin.
