Today the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned European Parliament resolution adopted on Wednesday, according to which Russia is characterized “a state that encourages terrorism and a state that uses terrorist means.”
The European Parliament adopted a text calling Russia the “state sponsor of terrorism” in the war in Ukraine and called on the 27 EU member states to do the same.
In a statement today, the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that this decision “has nothing to do” with the fight against terrorism.
“This hostile action is part of the political and information campaign of the West against our country and has nothing to do with the real state of affairs in the fight against international terrorism,” the ministry said.
