During the wave of massive missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine on Tuesday, November 15, the Russian occupying forces carried out missile attacks and drone launches for a total amount of more than half a billion to one billion US dollars, Economika Pravda concluded, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
“Economics of Truth” came to this conclusion on the basis of Ukrainian Air Force data on launched and downed missiles and drones.
The Armed Forces noted that on November 15, Russian troops attacked Ukraine using 96 air- and sea-based cruise missiles (X-101, X-555, 3M-54 Kalibr), X-59 guided missiles, Shahed-136 / 131, Orion and Orlan-10.
On this day, the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down:
- 75 cruise missiles (X-101, X-555 and 3M-54 Caliber);
- 2 Kh-59 guided missiles;
- 10 Shahed-136/131 attack drones;
- 1 UAV “Orion”;
- 1 UAV Orlan-10.
According to Forbes, the cost of the 3M-54 Caliber missile is $6.5 million. The Kh-101 missile costs US$13 million, and the Kh-555 missile costs US$7.5 million.
Thus, Russia spent between 495 and 963 million US dollars on these weapons alone.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Kh-59 guided missile costs $300,000. So two are worth $600,000.
The Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones cost between $20,000 and $50,000 per unit. On average, 10 such UAVs cost 350 thousand US dollars.
According to the General Staff of Ukraine, Russian Orlan-10 drones cost $100,000 per unit.
As for the price of the Orion UAV, according to unofficial information from the Russian defense agencies, the creation of the prototype of the attack UAV cost about 30 million dollars. However, the price of the serial complex, which includes a control station and three UAVs, remains unknown.
Therefore, the total cost of the Russian attack on Ukraine on Tuesday, November 15, is estimated to be somewhere between 526.05 and 994.05 million dollars.
More than seven million Ukrainian homes were left without electricity on Tuesday after Russia struck the country’s power grid, the Ukrainian presidency said on November 15, AFP reported.
Russian forces fired about 100 missiles across Ukraine on Tuesday, hitting several key energy infrastructures in various regions, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force said, as quoted by AFP. Thus, several Ukrainian regions and cities were left without electricity.
