Tsitsipas won the first set 6-3, but Rublev came back to win 6-3, 6-2.

Tsitsipas believes that Rublev “has few weapons”

Tsitsipas told a press conference that he did not feel “threatened” at any point in the match and that the Russian had “few weapons” at his disposal.

“I just wanted to try something new, see if it would work, mess it up a bit. It’s a shame. I feel like I’m a better player.

I feel like I could have done more in this match. I felt I could be much more creative. I don’t even need to say that. I think it’s pretty obvious.

But, yes, he won with the little amount of weapons he has. He was able to really use them and win today” – Stefanos Tsitsipasafter elimination from the Tournament of Champions.

Rublev, the answer for Tsitsipas: “If we take it blow for blow, I don’t think so”

Having been defeated by Tsitsipas this year in Astana and Madrid, Rublev was asked to comment on the Greek’s claims.

“I don’t know if I have enough tools or not. On a blow-by-blow basis, I think his backhand is better than mine. His forehand is no better than mine. The service is no better than mine.

Obviously, he is the better player because he is ranked higher and has achieved better results. But I don’t think I beat him because I would have “less weapons”. If you watch our matches, any of them, we have tough battles. This year I lost to him twice in three sets, and now I beat him in three sets” – Andriy Rublev.

Andriy Rublev will fight for a place in the finals of the Tournament of Champions with Norwegian Kasper Ruud.
