President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that the West had “put historical nonsense into the heads of millions of people, including about the actual conduct of World War II and the role of the Soviet Union in defeating Nazi Germany,” AFP reported.
Without providing evidence, Putin repeated the statement that Poland has not given up its dream of seizing part of Ukraine.
The head of the Kremlin repeated the opinion about the inevitability of confrontation between Russia and the “neo-Nazi regime” in Kyiv.
Putin also announced on Friday the continuation of the evacuation of residents of the Kherson region in southern Ukraine, which Russia may lose under pressure from the Ukrainian army.
Kyiv condemned the policy of “forced displacement” and called on the international community to take a stand.
