Ministry of Finance USA announced today sanctions against the Russian network, which, according to Washington, supplied the Russians with American military technology. The decision is part of a wider package of sanctions in Russia per his invasion of Ukraine.

In particular, the US Treasury imposed sanctions against Yuri Orekhov and two of his companies, Nord-Deutsche Industrieanlagenbau GmbH and Opus Energy Trading LLC.

U.S. Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Antigemo said allied sanctions and export restrictions are making it harder for Russia to obtain (advanced) “technology” for its war. “We know these efforts are having a direct impact on the battlefield as Russia’s desperation has forced it to turn to substandard suppliers and outdated equipment,” he said.
