Russia: FSB detains eight suspects in the explosion on the Crimean bridge

“The explosive device was placed on 22 pallets with rolls of polyethylene packaging film, with a total weight of 22,770 kg,” Russian intelligence reports.

The explosives were sent in early August by ship from the port of Odessa, Ukraine, to Ruse, Bulgaria, the FSB explained. Then they passed through the Georgian port of Poti and through Armenia on the way reached Russia.

The Kyiv agent coordinated the transfer of explosives and contacted various intermediaries.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and, according to the FSB, “all the perpetrators and their accomplices, including foreigners, will be held accountable in accordance with Russian law.”

Recall that Ukraine has not officially claimed responsibility for the explosion on the bridge.
