
Court Moscow ordered to seize the offices of the organization Memorialwhich is banned in Russia, just hours after this Russian NGO was awarded the Nobel Peace Prizealong with one Belarusian activist and a Ukrainian NGO.
Memorial’s headquarters in Russia ‘became public property’, court says Tverskoy to the Interfax agency after numerous lawsuits against the organization.
These offices in the center of Moscow housed the administrative services of the organization, as well as regular exhibitions open to the public.
A representative of the Tverskoy Court stated that Memorial was engaged in “rehabilitation of Nazi criminals, slandering the authorities and creating a false image of the USSR,” RIA Novosti reports.
