President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, addressing the citizens of Russia tonight, said that their President Vladimir Putin is deliberately sending “citizens to their death.”
“The Russian leadership is well aware that it is sending its citizens to their deaths,” Zelenskiy said in Russian, urging Moscow’s forces to surrender.
“You will be treated in a civilized manner… No one will know the terms of your surrender,” he said hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law an amendment to the law providing for a 10-year prison sentence for those who desert or refuse to fight in call time.
