Buckingham Palace presented on Saturday the first photo of the new tombstone at the place where Queen Elizabeth II was buried, writes News.ro.
“Following the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, a tombstone was erected in the King George VI Memorial Chapel. The memorial chapel of King George VI is located in the chapel of St. George, Windsor,” said the royal family’s Twitter account, which also includes a photo.
Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), Prince Consort Philip (1921-2021), and Queen Elizabeth II’s parents, King George VI (1895-1952) and Elizabeth (1900-2002), are depicted on a black Belgian marble stone.
Following the burial of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, a stone was laid in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.

The new tombstone replaced the one dedicated to King George VI and the Queen Mother.
According to the BBC, the chapel will be open for visits from Thursday, except for Sundays. People who have bought tickets to visit Windsor Castle can go to the chapel. A ticket costs £28.50 on Saturdays and £26.50 on other days of the week.
Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest on Monday alongside her husband Prince Philip in the King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle.
