The photo released by the Ukrainian military shows that the Russians left behind a huge number of 152-mm shells while retreating from Kharkiv.

Ukrainian troops seized a Russian ammunition depot with a fairly large number of 152-mm shells in the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian artillery units have used up much of their existing stockpile of Soviet shells, ammunition that NATO and the West cannot easily supply.

In a report released on July 6, the Royal Joint Services Institute, the world’s oldest think tank specializing in military and security issues, noted that the Russian armed forces are firing about 20,000 152mm projectiles per day.

The numerous photos that the Ukrainian military shared on social networks show numerous military equipment abandoned by the Russian military during the chaotic withdrawal from the Kharkiv region.

While some have been destroyed by the Ukrainians or even the Russians to prevent Ukrainian forces from using them, some appear to be in good condition, likely requiring minimal repair to be reused by the Ukrainian military.

The photo shared by the Ukrainian military shows that they also captured one of the “dinosaurs” of the Russian army – a T-62 tank, probably during the offensive on Kharkiv.

Considering its age (in service with the Soviet Army in 1961) and the fact that it took part in battles, the tank looks in decent condition. The Ukrainian military also appears to have “christened” the gun of the combat vehicle, suggesting that it may be in good enough condition to be used against invading forces.
