
Foreign Secretary Liz Truss is still well ahead of his rival Rishi Sunak in the race for the leadership of the Conservative Party and the British Prime Minister, a YouGov poll for Sky News showed today.
The ruling Conservative Party is voting by mail to choose its new leader after Boris Johnson said he would step down after a series of scandals. The winner will be announced on September 5th.
The poll showed Truss, who consistently ranks first among Conservative Party members in opinion polls, leads Sunak by 32 percentage points among those who choose to vote. Tras collects 66% and Sunak 34%.
According to the poll, only 13% of the members of the Conservative Party have either not decided who they will vote for or will not vote at all.
