The volume of construction works increased in the first half of the year by 4.3%, INS representatives reported on Thursday. Office buildings (+16.5%) and residential buildings (+6.3%) increased by construction objects. Engineering structures decreased by 4.7%.
According to the INS methodology, engineering structures are represented by roads, railways, bridges, airports, stadiums, etc.

The volume of construction works increased by 7.2% in gross terms, while the increase was noted in new construction (+9.4%), major repairs (+6.3%) and ongoing maintenance and repair (+1.4%) .
On construction sites, engineering works (+16.5%), non-residential buildings (+1.8%) and residential buildings (+0.3%) increased.
June 2022 compared to June 2021
The volume of construction and assembly works in gross terms increased by a total of 7.1%. In terms of structural elements, growth was recorded in maintenance and current repair works (+11.1%) and in new construction (+7.7%). Major repairs decreased by 6.0%.
On construction sites, the volume of construction works increased: non-residential buildings (+16.0%), residential buildings (+4.1%) and engineering structures (+3.3%).
