Her Home Secretary Ukrainian said his country must be prepared for any scenario at its nuclear power plant – under the control of Russian forces Zaporozhye which is subjected to bombardment, including the removal of people from the area.

“Of course, it is difficult to imagine the scale of the tragedy that could happen if the Russians continue their actions there,” he said.

In recent days, Ukraine has been warning about the danger of a nuclear catastrophe on the scale of Chernobyl.

“For us, this means that … we must be ready for any scenario. The State Emergency Services, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Regional Development, are discussing various scenarios that are necessary, including the issue of evacuating territories,” Monastirsky said.
