xAI, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup, said on Thursday it will release an improved version of its Grok chatbot, according to Reuters.

Dubbed Grok-1.5, the new version will be available to early testers and existing Grok users on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, in the coming days, xAI said in a statement.

The startup noted that one of the most notable improvements in the new version is its performance in programming and math-related tasks.

Seeking an alternative to OpenAI, backed by Microsoft MSFT.O and Alphabet’s Google GOOGL.O, Musk launched xAI last year to create what he said would be “the absolute truth-seeking artificial intelligence.”

In December, the startup launched Grok for X Premium+ subscribers.

Musk said earlier this month that xAI would open source Grok, days after the billionaire sued OpenAI for allegedly abandoning its original mission in favor of a more profitable model.
