The Office of the President of Ukraine reported on Friday that the Kyiv leader has published his declaration of property, income, expenses and financial obligations for 2023.

As part of the fight against corruption in Ukraine, in 2014, a system of mandatory electronic declaration of assets of civil servants was introduced.

The commitments were suspended after Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, and Zelensky ordered their renewal in October 2023.

The Zelenskyi family reported income of about $317,000, including about $190,000 from the sale of treasury bonds.

The remaining almost 127,000 dollars of income consisted mainly of salaries, bank interest and income from the rental of real estate, according to the message of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

“The increase in income in 2022 was due to the resumption of lease payments,” the report says, adding that at the end of 2023, the Zelenskyi family’s cash balance decreased by almost $71,000.

Reduction of Zelensky’s income in 2021 and 2022

At the end of January, Zelensky published declarations of wealth for 2021 and 2022, from which it follows that the Kyiv leader’s income is decreasing compared to 2020.

In 2021, the Zelensky family earned $285,198, although almost $141,278 of that amount came from the sale of Treasury bonds.

Income in 2021 was almost $314,827 less than in 2020.

In a statement, Zelenskyy explained the lower income in 2022 by lease contracts frozen as a result of Russia’s offensive on Ukraine.

According to the statement, in 2021, Zelensky completed the process of registering 22 trademarks, having started it “long before he was elected president.” The complete application contains several dozen trademarks.

The number of Zelenskyi’s apartments, vehicles and other assets has not changed. According to his statement, there are seven apartment registrations and two Range Rover and Mercedes vehicle registrations.

The cash flow of the Zelenskyi family decreased in 2022 compared to 2021 by $47.5 thousand.
