“He is the captain of a team destined to win,” coalition leaders said of Katalin Kirštoj on Thursday evening. On Thursday, the doctor went to Hala Laminorul in Sector 3 to meet a member of the PSD party. This event was supposed to mark the nomination of Robert Negoitsa. However, all speakers referred to Kirshtoya.
Hundreds of people invited to the capital’s Laminorul Hall were waiting for the candidate Kirshta on Thursday evening. The PSD and PNL campaign teams did not officially announce the event, and part of the media was present only because Prime Minister Çolaku was present. Even the PNL did not report that Nicolae Chuke has this event on his agenda. But the PSD and PNL leaders came to the hall from the east of Bucharest.
Ciucă, Ciolacu, Neacșu and Cîrstoiu arrived in one car
What was supposed to be the presentation of the candidacy of Robert Negoits for the position of mayor of Sector 3, quickly turned into a symbolic event dedicated to Katalin Kirsta, the candidate of PSD – PNL for the position of mayor of the capital.
Marcel Čolaku, Nicolae Chuke, Marian Neatsu and Katalin Kirštou arrived in one car, a solidary coalition. When parting, everyone preferred their car.
Katalin Kirshtoy left the election campaign last in a BMW X6 M60. A sports car worth almost 120,000 euros is part of the PSD-PNL candidate’s unknown fortune, identified by a HotNews.ro investigation.
- BREAKING NEWS INVESTIGATION. The fate of candidate Cătălin Cîrstoiu is unknown. Apartments in Mamaia, Sinaia, Bucharest and several Mercedes and BMW X6 M cars, more than 100,000 euros each – all on the company. – admits Kirshta
Nature played the role of host
During the election event, the reception committee was formed by Gabriela Firea and Robert Negojce, the mayor of Sector 3. They are surrounded by several advisers.
The official greeting was conveyed by the Deputy Secretary General of the Government, Adrian Tsutsuianu, with a short military movement.
- “Sărumâna, good evening,” Prime Minister Çolaku broke the ice.
- “Good evening, welcome,” enthusiastically replies the women’s choir, centered on Gabriela Firea.
- “What you do?” Marcel Cholaku asks them.
- “We’ve been waiting for you, what a band to meet like that,” echoes from the admissions office.
“Thank you so much Gabi”
Cholaku showed a cheerful attitude. He greeted Fira. “Good evening, Gabi!”. Then, as a follow-up, the PSD leader takes a few steps towards Gabriela Firea, who he kisses and hugs.
Expressions of affection have appeared in the landscape of recent days, when Firea is constantly being congratulated in public, in parallel with the loss of the candidacy for the capital’s mayor’s office.
The thanksgiving scene is repeated a few minutes later in Hala Laminorul, this time in front of all the guests invited by the party.
“Gabi, thank you so much. With all the news on TV, with all the speculation, we managed to be a team,” Marcel tells Cholaka from the microphone, as a special dedication to Gabriela Firea.
New candidate Cîrstoiu is still clumsy and takes small steps through the reception group. It does not seem that he feels at ease even among the Social Democrats, those who proposed him to the coalition.
“If Catelyn operated on you, you were on your feet”
The next character who appears in front of the four who came with a minibus from the Government is Robert Negoitse. On crutches, with an operation on one leg for two days, the mayor hugs Marcel Čolaku for the first time.
The Prime Minister asked loudly: “where is the operation?”
Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neatsu, a key figure in the government and party, kisses Robert Negoitz and his father.
Doctor Kirshtoy also appears from behind.
“Wait, I’ll go,” says the candidate doctor to inquire about the fate of the patient.
“Is this a campaign strategy?” someone asks from behind.
“I warned him,” joked the doctor.
“If you were operated on by Cătălin (no – Cătălin Cîrstoiu), you would be on your feet,” Marian Neatsu points out.
Neatsu is the one who will lead the PSD 3 sector in his own right after years of working in the organization from Ialomita. After moving to Pro Romania and ANRE, Neatsu is now the brain behind many important decisions of the Social Democrats, according to the descriptions of many people in the party.
Everyone is laughing, having fun, the candidates, Negoitsa and Kirshtoy, walk with a limp, with the help of crutches.
How Chuke had to “kiss” pesedist people
Public bathing is a must in the campaign, and Marcel Cholaku and his entourage do not shy away. This is just the beginning of a tough fight in the “super-election year 2024”, and selfies for digital politics are something you can’t refuse at weddings. Chuke also poses with the Social Democrats.
“I understood that you left a place in front of the stage, because there will be dancing here after we leave,” the PSD leader is amused. It was not a campaign joke, after the Prime Minister left the event, party music played in Hala Laminorul.
Liberals are also represented.
Ciprian Chuku, Mayor of Sector 6, Sebastián Bourduya, another candidate who did not run, Jonuts Stroe, PNL spokesman who puts his hand on his heart and greets any audience he is sent to, and Andrej Bachiu, a friend of Bourduya.
For the first time, the hall gives a standing ovation to Robert Negoitz, the host and candidate who dedicated his event to the opening of a larger cause: the capital city hall.
“Let’s do whatever is politically necessary”
Nikolay Chuke occupies the first floor away from the guests of the alliance. This is clear in the nature of the meeting: a demonstration of Katalin Kirshta’s full support.
“Through this event, we want to show as much as we can our support for our candidate for mayor of the capital, doctor Katelin Kirsta. This is the moment when we really want both sides to do everything that is politically necessary, so that the citizens feel the leadership that comes and lives up to our expectations,” the PNL president says freely, but without oratorical qualities.
Here is a brief description of the candidate from the coalition: he is a doctor, a university professor, the head of a university hospital and an experienced person.
“It is necessary to start the normalization of traffic in Bucharest. Everything related to pollution, the aspects that affect the citizens of Bucharest must be addressed, the doctor understands the harmful effects of pollution.”
Cătălin Cîrstoiu’s program is unknown, the document practically does not exist. But Nicolae Chuke says he has been working hard on it for the past week.
“We will meet you on the evening of June 9 with the same enthusiasm and optimism as now, when we come to support you throughout the election campaign,” the NLP leader concluded his speech in an optimistic tone.
Marcel Cholaku about the alliance with the PNL: “Usually we went on stage and said cheers”
Friday is the birthday of Robert Negoitsa, wants to remind Marcel Cholaka from the stage. But his presence at Hala Laminorul also has another stake, and it is connected to the seat currently occupied by Nikusor Dan.
“I did not see Robert (no – Robert Negoitse), nor Daniel (no – Daniel Beluce) nor Cyprian (no – Cyprian Chuku) as I saw Mrs. Clotilde and Nicusor continuously explaining how they could not, as they have no achievements. . When I entered politics after the revolution, take my word for it, I did not think that I, the president of the PSD, and Nicolae Chuke, the president of the PNL, would be on the same stage. Usually we went on stage and said cheers,” the prime minister recalls past campaigns.
Marcel Cholaku emphasizes that the General Council of the capital is also at stake. “Romanians and the people of Bucharest are fed up that this cannot be done, why do we have rats, why do the parks look the way they do. We need a person who will rise to the level of the Romanian capital to save Bucharest,” said the Romanian Prime Minister.
Cîrstoiu is laconic in his speech. He insists that he is a doctor and that he “always relieved the disease.”
Let the music play, let the battle begin
Three and a half years of studying for the capital’s mayor’s office, Gabriela Firea tells about the fallen city on stage. “The capital looks miserable,” she states briefly. He then declares his loyalty to the party and his respect for the rules established by Marcel Cholak.
“I am convinced that Mr. Dr. Kirstau, with a political team and the support of the citizens, will turn Bucharest into the city that people want,” Firea says.
Former Secretary General of the PSD during the mandate of Liviu Dragnius, with whom he had a falling out at the time, Marian Neatsu tried to enliven the room in military terms: “Kirštou is the captain of the team, he is destined to win. The Sector 3 army is armed. We are with weapons at our feet to pursue you and enjoy the victory,” Neatsu said.
Then the militarized epilogue gave way to music and fun at the tables. The political struggle is just beginning.
