The leadership of the PSD of Konstanz has announced candidates for the Konstanz city hall and the position of president of the district council. Thus, the president of the National Authority for the Protection of Consumer Rights (ANPC) Horia Constantinescu is participating in the struggle for the mayorship of Constanta, and the candidate of the Social Democrats for the position of the president of the district council is the doctor Katelin Grasa, the former director of the District Hospital of Constanta.

The official announcement of these candidacies was made on Wednesday evening at a press conference by PSD Constanta president Felix Stroe, News.ro reports.

“Today, at the National Political Council of the Social Democratic Party, a unanimous decision was made that Mr. Horia Constantinescu should run for the position of mayor of Constanta. I think it needs no introduction. He is a man of great experience, the president of ANPC. For another position, that of District Council President, we present the candidacy, we say, very, very, very seriously, of Dr. Katelin Gras, who needs no further introduction. He was a medical director, a general director of a district hospital, a surgeon, taught at the medical faculty at Ovid University, a long-time member of the Social Democratic Party,” Felix Straw said.

Present at the press conference, Horia Constantinescu, the PSD candidate for the mayor’s office in Constanta, explained how he sees this election campaign.

“I think that we will not necessarily need to conduct the Damboviţa campaign, but to succeed in one of the projects. At least I not only propose, I assure you that such a campaign will also be conducted by me and the team with which we will start the election campaign. I think we should pay less attention to what every citizen of Constanta can see by simply opening a door or a window and looking outside. We need to show what we can do from now on to sort things out, not point fingers at each other. Each of the counter-candidates has the freedom, of course, to start a negative campaign. As you know, this will not be the first or the last case against me, including during my entire career in the Consumer Protection Office of Constanta or at the level of the Office,” said Horia Constantinescu.

He announced that he would resign from the leadership of the ANPC when the election campaign begins.

Dr. Cătălin Grasa, PSD candidate for the position of Constanța County Council President

For his part, Cătălin Grasa, the PSD candidate for the position of Constanța County Council President, revealed what his priority would be if he wins the position.

“Infrastructure development from the side of health care. It seems to me that we are far behind the rest of the counties in terms of health care, that is, hospitals, polyclinics, outpatient clinics,” said Ketalin Grasa.

He showed that he recommends for this position.

“It reminds me that we managed to go through the crisis zone, the health care crisis, the pandemic that surprised us all with the Constanta District Clinical Hospital. Konstanz county has a huge problem. There is only one hospital here. It has neither a children’s hospital, nor a maternity hospital, nor a multidisciplinary city hospital. I am in this structure, in this hospital. Not to mention the fact that part of the emergency medical care is created for the Dobruja county. We receive serious cases. I said the county of Dobruja in quotes, I said it before,” Katelin Grasa explained.

Former mayor Decebal Fegedau announces his return to PSD. He will run for parliamentary elections

The former mayor of Konstanz, Decebal Fegedau, was also present at the press conference of the Social Democrats. He announced that he would return to the PSD, the party from which he resigned at the end of 2020.

“I left the Social Democratic Party when I had problems with justice. Since they are over, as I said, I will decide whether or not to return to political life. Today, as I had a meeting in Bucharest, I decided to return to political life and share my experiences, good, bad, achievements, but also mistakes, with Horia, so that the city can get on the road to normality, and let this madness stop that , frankly, at least for me as a citizen, makes me no longer understand anything, even where we are and especially where we are going,” Dechebal Fegadeu said.

Felix Stroe also announced that Decebal Făgădău will run in the parliamentary elections from PSD Constanta.

The leader of the social democrats of Constanța also announced during the press conference that the MP Cristina Rizea, who entered the parliament from the Democratic People’s Republic of Moldova, joined the PSD and will run for Valu-louis-Trajan mayor’s office.
