“The registrar discovered new information that proves the direct connection of the family of Robert Negoits with the Belvedere quarter,” the journalists write. “The company controlled by Jonuts Negojets, the mayor’s brother, lent half a million euros to a commercial company that, according to documents, is owned by the life partner of the mayor’s brother. The stated purpose of the loan was the purchase of a building located right on the edge of the IOR Park in Bucharest.”

Robert Negoitse: “Chobitsa no longer works at the town hall”

The recorder contacted Robert Negoitz. He asked the mayor if he was aware of the loan granted by his brother’s company and if he had discussed with his right-hand man, a confidant, Marius Daniel Chobike about the money received by SRL, controlled by his family.

“It doesn’t matter if I spoke to Mr. Chobike about such matters. It has nothing to do with the acquisition or my position,” replied politician Negojc, who said Chobitsa no longer works at the city hall. The Recorder’s investigation can be read here.
