Caroline Garcia reached the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in Miami.
The player, who is ranked 27th in the WTA hierarchy, beat Coco Gauff (3rd WTA) in three sets at the end of the match, which lasted one hour and 45 minutes.

In the quarters, the Frenchwoman will meet the winner of the duet Sorana Kirstea (24 WTA) – Danielle Collins (53 WTA).
From March 19 to 31, the WTA 1000 category tournament will be held in Miami. Played on hard court, the main draw features 128 players and a total prize pool of $8,995,555. The champion of the overall title is Petra Kvitova (she is pregnant and will not participate in this year’s edition).
