A 23-year-old man from Craiova was caught by police on Saturday driving at 236 kilometers per hour on the A1 Bucharest-Pitesti highway. He was fined 3,300 lei and disqualified for 120 days.

“Today, March 23, at around 2:50 p.m., police officers of the Highways Brigade found a man on the road, on the A1 Bucharest-Pitesti highway, at km. 35 in the direction of Pitesti, the car was moving at a speed of 236 km/h. The car was stopped and a 23-year-old man from the city of Craiova was found behind the wheel,” Romanian police said, according to News.ro.

The man was fined 3,300 lei, and as an additional measure, the police confiscated his driver’s license with the aim of suspending his right to drive for 120 days with the issuance of a replacement proof of no driving right.
