Kostyantyn Koltsov, the lover of Aryna Sabalenko, died at the age of 42. Belarusian media reported that the former hockey player died of a stroke, but Miami police say it was suicide.
The athlete’s father (also a former hockey player) died at the age of 43 at the end of 2019.
Koltsov played for the Belarus national team in the 2002 and 2010 Olympic Games and played part-time for three seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League from 2002 to 2006.
“It is with deep sadness that we inform you that the coach of the team “Salavat Yulaev” Kostiantyn Koltsov has died,” the club from the Russian city of Ufa said in a statement.
Kostyantyn Koltsov should have turned 43 years old, on April 17 to be exact.
Koltsov was married to Yulia, they divorced in 2020. Together they have three sons: Daniel, Oleksandr and Stefan.
