
The lifeless body of a citizen of Ukraine was found on Sunday afternoon in the Tisza River. Romanian police opened a criminal case for involuntary manslaughter, News.ro reports.
Romanian authorities were notified on Sunday afternoon that a man’s body had been found in the waters of the Tisza River in the Maramures County.
“After going to the place and the first inspections carried out on the spot, the police identified the body of a 33-year-old man from Ukraine,” said representatives of the Maramures police.
The lifeless body was taken to Sziget-Marmatsia City Hospital, where the cause of death will be determined after an autopsy. The police are investigating the man’s death, and a criminal case of involuntary manslaughter has been opened.
