Daniil Medvedev overpowered Holger Roon after the Dane attacked him with the ball near the goal

The beginning of the second set of the match between Danilo and Holger was tense. After a tense duel, Run sent from behind the gate directly to the opponent, and the performance of the Nordic greatly angered the Russian.

Medvedev continued the match, went about his business and won in two sets, 7-5, 6-4, after two hours of play, but he did not forget his opponent’s gesture.

When they were at the goal, after the end of the game, the Russian scolded his opponent for not even apologizing for what he had done.

“I didn’t hear you apologize,” Daniil told Holger. The Dane answered immediately: “Let’s not talk about it.”

At the press conference, Medvedev returned to better feelings, the Russian clarified that he did not see when his opponent apologized immediately after the incident, on the court.

“I didn’t know (that the Dane had apologised), I got angry, I got angry. Carlos (the chair umpire) told me he was sorry, he told me he was sorry.

I also apologize for not seeing him apologize. That’s it, everything is clear,” Daniil Medvedev humorously told reporters.
