Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, is second to last in the ranking, and Olaf Scholz, the German chancellor, is the last, according to a survey conducted by INSCOP on behalf of News.ro. it turns out that 99.5% of respondents have heard of Putin, and 71.7% – about von der Leyen.
King Charles leads the way in terms of trust with a share of 56.2%, followed by Maya Sandu, Emmanuel Macron and Joe Biden. The penultimate place is occupied by Donald Trump, the last place is taken by Vladimir Putin with a trust rating of 11.4%.
The most famous foreign leaders of Romania
99.5% of Romanians said they had heard of Vladimir Putin. The President of Russia is followed by former US President Donald Trump with 96.4% information, King Charles of Great Britain with 93.3% and Joe Biden, the current US President with 92.1%.
Continuing the rating are the President of France Emmanuel Macron with 89.1% popularity, the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu with 79.3%, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen with 71.7% and Olaf. Scholz, Chancellor of Germany with 65.9%.
The pinnacle of trust in international leaders
The King of Great Britain Charles leads the trust rating with 56.2% a lot and a lot of trust. The British monarch is followed by Maia Sandu, President of the Republic of Moldova, with 34% trust very, very much and Emmanuel Macron, President of France, with 32%.

In the case of Vladimir Putin, the distribution of answers (a low share of those who trust a lot and very much) does not allow for segmentation according to basic socio-demographic criteria.
- The survey was conducted by INSCOP Research on behalf of News.ro Press Agency. The data were collected from February 22 to 29 by the CATI method (telephone interviews), using a questionnaire. The size of the simple stratified sample is 1100 people, representative of significant socio-demographic categories (gender, age, profession) for the non-institutionalized population of Romania aged 18 and over. The maximum permissible data error is ± 2.95% with a confidence level of 95%.
