A Botafogo player dragged his injured team-mate onto the field for the referee to stop the game against Fluminense

Fluminense and Botafogo put on a show in matchday 11 of the Brazilian Premier League, but the most important match of the game came at the end.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 3rd minute through Marlon Freitas, and 12 minutes later Rye extended their lead.

Before the break, the hosts reduced the difference thanks to the success of Lele (min. 26).

In the second half of the game, Fluminense were outnumbered after Andre was sent off, but in the next phase they managed to equalize thanks to John Kennedy, who converted a shot from 11 meters (82 min).

The match looked set for a draw, but the visitors were awarded a penalty and took the lead in the 88th minute through Marlon Freitas’ goal.

In extra time, Botafogo players were so desperate to win the game that they resorted to a new way to kill time.

Hugo was lying on the pitch but off the pitch and his teammate Augusto pulled him onto the pitch for the referee to stop play and allow medical personnel access.

The goalkeeper of Fluminense also intervened, pulling the visiting footballer away.

In the end, Emerson Urso secured the victory for the guests in the tenth minute of extra time.
